Copywriting - ITIDA
From its location at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and the Middle East to its large and growing talent pool of highly qualified graduates, Egypt has a great deal to offer the world’s multinationals when it comes to IT and business process outsourcing.
We were asked to help bring this offer to life for ITIDA, Egypt's IT
Development Agency.
Continuing to develop the talent pool
Egypt is continuing to invest in the development of
outsourcing-ready talent in many different ways.
Training graduates for BPO
Take, for example, the Egyptian Education Initiative
(EduEgypt). The result of close collaboration between
ITIDA, universities, leading companies involved in
BPO training, and multinational clients, EduEgypt
has been developed specifically to train university
graduates in the soft, technical and language skills
required for business process outsourcing.
Increasing the multilingual talent pool
The European Language Program is designed to increase
the pool of entry-level BPO and technical support talent
with proficiency in French, Spanish, German, and Italian
languages. Launched in partnership with leading language
institutes in Egypt, the Program will train 800 – 1,000
people in the first year. The plan is to increase the number
of trainees to 3,000 – 4,000 in subsequent years.
Enhancing middle management skills
The Advanced Management and Professional Training
Program aims to provide multinationals and local
IT and BPO companies in Egypt with high quality,
industry relevant and cost-effective managerial
training. The Program is due to be launched in
2010 and will be developed in partnership with
world-renowned service and training providers.
Working in partnership at Nile University
Another great example can be found at Nile University.
Established with the help of the private sector in 2006,
Nile University specializes in engineering and ICT graduate
studies and has a number of partnerships, for example
with Bell Labs and Alcatel-Lucent Technologies.
