So how do you charge?
We discuss the job to establish basics like how important/challenging/big the project is, what the briefing/approvals process will involve, what materials we will have to work with and so on. Then we quote a fee.

And your quote covers?
As a rule, one draft plus up to two sets of revisions. For anything beyond that, we reserve the right to re-quote for additional work.

So how much would a brochure cost?
It depends (see So how do you charge?). At the risk of stating the obvious, we'd charge a lot less for a standard product brochure than for a top level corporate brochure. Give us a call to let us know what's involved and we'll give you an estimate.

Do you have any areas of particular expertise?
This site's work section should give you a pretty good impression of sectors we've worked extensively in over the years, though we have of course also covered many others - light bulbs, Sri Lankan beer, rodent repellents... And in any case, direct experience isn't the be all and end all: we'd never worked in insurance, for example, before helping rebrand the world's third largest brokers.

Do you like to get involved at the outset, or just at the copy stage?
As you like it. If you'd like us to take part in initial brainstorming, we're happy to. If you'd prefer us simply to do a final draft of copy you supply to us, that's fine too. Whatever fits in best with you.

Do you need a briefing meeting?
For a straightforward edit, probably not. For a larger project, we'd typically have an initial phone conversation, suggest rough costs and timings, come for a brief, then confirm fee and deadline.

How do you deliver copy?
These days almost always as a Word attachment to an email.

Will you travel to Hayes/Manchester/Sydney?
In our time we've been to Dubai, Zurich, Cyprus, Warsaw. And Basildon. We'll go anywhere, if the work justifies it. We will, though, charge expenses for travelling outside London.
